Born and raised in the Hills District of NSW, I attended Galston Primary school and Asquith Boys High school. The trip to high school took an hour up through the Galston Gorge and I remember the bus having to back up on the hair pin bends.
On leaving I was offered a 5 year Mechanical Apprenticeship with John E Allen of Dural. He was the local Leyland Motor Dealer and NRMA Road Side Assist Service Centre. I attended Meadowbank Technical College and gained a High Distinction in the Automotive Trade course. After this I went on to work in the area as a qualified Motor Mechanic.
On the weekends I worked helping my father, Aub Lawson with the running of Westmead Speedway.
For many years now, I have been working in the Real Estate Industry and I hold Principle’s’ Licences for both NSW and Qld. I have sold all types of Real Estate which includes; units, houses, rural land, development sites and commercial sites and premises.
I know many of the locals in this area and I have seen the Hills District grow from a small farming community to a vibrant, rural metropolis.
I have always believed this to be an ideal area in which to live and work
